The industrial-gore nightmare that is Black Mold Phallanx is probably my favorite project of Jen's, and one of my favorite gorenoise projects in general. There's been a rip of this floating around on the internet and Soulseek for, I don't know, at least a few years (I've had it downloaded since late 2014 anyway). Unfortunately, that rip sounds like shit and doesn't do this tape justice in the slightest, so I'm trying to get a better one out there. None of us even deserve to hear this, but here it is anyway. Get this right fucking now.

Embalming Drain Foetus
The absolute lowest of lo-fi shitnoise. These two demos are everything this project did if I'm not mistaken.

Necrocannibalistic Vomitorium / Vomitoma
Necrocannibalistic Vomitorium is probably the only pornogrind band you'll ever see here. I don't know why they're the one band in a genre I largely despise that gets a pass, but things are just like that sometimes I guess. Anyway, their side of this split is four songs from a live performance and I have to be honest, the sound quality is kind of bad. Maybe not to the point where I want to say they should have scrapped this recording, but I don't know. I've definitely heard better from them.
I don't feel a need to say a lot about the Vomitoma side, but I do want to mention that I think it's funny how the tracks loosely follow a trend of each being shorter than the last.
This is the first of three Horns & Hoofs releases I'll be posting (not necessarily consecutively). The other two are going to be a secret for now.

She Walks Crooked / Distant Relative
Five minutes of harsh noise, five minutes of HNW. I don't want to talk about how many listens it took for me to realize that each side contains the same songs. Scott Kindberg of She Walks Crooked is also known for having been a member of Wake the Machines, one half of Ginger Cortes, and the operator of the label Petite Soles, among other things. I'm not so familiar with Dustin Johnston, the dude responsible for Distant Relative, but Discogs tells me he's a member of Actuary, Marion Barry, and Suffering Luna, so that's quite impressive as well. Speaking of Discogs, there's a single copy of this tape for sale on there. It's for you.

Rivologi - Sexuaalisuus Ja Saatanan Palvonta
Check it out, raw black metal from Finland. The Metal Archives tell me their lyrics revolve around "the writings of occultist Pekka Siitoin" and I'll leave the Google searching to you if you want to know more about him. Anyway, the songs here are all single-riff affairs in the one to two minute range. Simple stuff, but I think it succeeds at conveying a certain feeling that I can't quite put into words. I don't feel qualified to give an opinion on whether it's good, but I find it satisfying enough if I'm ever in the mood for this sort of thing.
